Before we were design nerds, we were sports nerds. We met at Syracuse University as graphic arts students and quickly bonded over our love of sports. We both adore basketball but are fanatical elsewhere – Justin can talk golf for hours and David will wax poetic about soccer.

Since our time in upstate New York, we’ve moved on to design-related fields. It only made sense that we’d take a fun, critical look at the importance of design in the world of sports.

We’re calling it The Design Game. It’s not really a sports podcast, nor is it a design podcast. We’ll share our views on design in sports – from uniforms and logos, to event broadcasts, and in-person viewing. How has design shaped the way we digest sports?

We hope the sports fan can learn about the importance of design and the design practitioner can appreciate all things athletic.
